These have a bit of magic -- the dried top of the cookie forms an "icing" during baking. The bottom
of the cookie is called a "Fuesschen," a little foot.

Ingredients

     250 g 4x sugar
     3 eggs
     1/4 tsp cinnamon
     1/2 lb flour
     1 tsp anise seeds

Directions

Beat sugar and eggs until stiff. Add cinnamon and flour slowly. Spread anise on a greased pan. Put
small amounts of dough on pan, and let stand overnight (or two) covered with a clean cloth. Bake at
350 degrees in the morning.
