Tartar Sauce

 4  Servings

1	cup mayonnaise
2	tablespoons sweet pickle relish, drained
1	tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1	teaspoon lemon zest, finely grated
1	teaspoon Dijon mustard
1	dash tabasco sauce
2	tablespoons Italian flat-leaf parsley, chopped
2	tablespoons shallots, minced
1	tablespoon capers, drained

	salt and fresh ground pepper to tasted

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, relish, lemon juice, lemon zest, mustard, and Tabasco. Stir in the parsley, shallots, and capers. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour and up to 2 days before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
